Distribution of Rain Water Rescue Barrels to the City of Inglewood Residents as part of the City’s Water Conservation Program

December 15, 2016

The City of Inglewood continues its effort to implement water conservation program in response to the California water drought situation. One of the items in the programs is the Rain Water Rescue barrel Program (see attached). The program is offered by the West Basin Municipal Water District (WBMWD) to City of Inglewood residents and other cities. WBMWD and the City distributed approximately 400 rain barrels to the west bay area residents including the City of Inglewood last year and early this year. There was a great response from the City of Inglewood residents, in which large applications were received by the WBMWD.

On December 20, 2016, WBMWD will distribute another 400 rain barrels at the FORUM parking area from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m... This is a first come first serve event and the applicants must register at or call South Bay Environmental Services Center at 310-371-4633.
